My husband said this painting reminds him of our time at the Island Inn during dinner while eating by himself while I was outside taking photos of the most stunning sunsets you can ever imagine. I love having a flower, usually popped into a small jar, on my kitchen window. Often it’s a flower that broke off while changing water and giving a fresh cut, but sometimes it’s there just because. The light streams in and the setting against the large live oak trees is magical. The bright yellow makes you smile each time you walk past.

Moser Design Group. Fabulous house plans. Classic design that looks gorgeous most anywhere it’s built. I live in an older neighborhood and what’s built around us matters. Infill, size, mass, scale – it makes a difference. It’s what keeps your neighborhood’s character that in this day and time is extremely hard to do. Depending upon the neighborhood, these homes look like they would blend well and fit in nicely. Good design always matters.

Her writing flows so well, from the first page you are drawn in and there is no hope of escape. This book is on my “To Re-read” shelf (one day). There are only a handful that makes it to that coveted spot.

This porch! The Springhill Cottage is a sweet plan full of character. It’s the porch that I fell in love with upon first glance. I think Springhill has such curb appeal, from the cuts in the roof, to the windows and the door/entrance – and of course the porch, which gives you as much privacy as you need, depending upon your landscaping.

I always feel hurried when I’m taking photos of my breakfast/lunch/dinner to share with y’all. Mostly, because Fred is sitting at the dining room table ready to eat. So forgive the thrown together plate – this was fabulous. Fresh food after several days of leftovers, thanks to Tropical Storm Debby. Not complaining, the leftovers were good, but we were really looking forward to something fresh!

The skies have been dark and stormy for the past four? days – I think i’ve lost count. The threat of tropical weather is no party but Lil Debby has passed by Charleston and we are grateful. It was a nice treat to run to the store and buy some fresh produce for dinner… My avocado is basking in the sun in attempt to get ripe enough for dinner, ha ha.
