This plan has so much charm, right? I love the areas of gingerbread, the placement of the windows, creating an inviting porch and lighting up the inside during the day and showing off pretty lighting in the evening. What’s not to love? I LOVE that this plan isn’t enormous, it’s perfect for a smaller family or if you’re downsizing. So much easier to maintain, I think we’ll be seeing more and more people downsize in the coming years. #toomuchstuffisstressful

I posted a recipe that Samantha’s mom (*read story below) shared with the group for Artichoke Chicken (originally from AllRecipes.com), and WOW – is it ever an amazing and very easy recipe. This is the perfect side dish to go along with it. This recipe comes together quickly, thanks to Trader Joe’s Organic Brown Rice found in the freezer section. Approximately three servings and three minutes in the microwave. Toss with the mixture below, and WELLA! The nuttiness of the brown rice and mushrooms are a perfect combination! I walked to the store the other day and passed by this sign set out on the sidewalk. Continue reading “Be the reason this season…”
We celebrated Thanksgiving this year with my niece and her family – they’re on top of things and already had their Christmas tree up and decorated… so of course I had to snap a few photos of their ornaments! Beautiful! Continue reading “A holiday message!”

I’ve never heard of a King tide until the past few years. A King Tide is a pretty non-scientific term that describes the highest tides that have been occurring lately – Read more about King Tides via mycoast.org! Continue reading “King Tides in Charleston, SC!”
This is a memory… a good Christmas memory. Fred and I went for a drive on Christmas back in 2005. He told me to close my eyes until he reached his destination… there was going to be a surprise.

St. Philip’s Church – Charleston, SC – This photo was taken several years ago in January approaching sunset. The color of the light on the church is magnificent. I also love the shadows from the homes reflected on the buildings on the right side of the image. Continue reading “Sunset: St. Philip’s Church”
We stopped at this restaurant for the first time on Fred’s birthday this year. We’ve always heard rave reviews, and I can see why. The food was excellent as were the people, and it sure is more fun when the place you visit has a good vibe to it.
Minero has an excellent vibe. Continue reading “Add this restaurant to your list: MINERO – Charleston, SC and Atlanta, GA!”
Years ago we bought this cool tinsel tree. Then as we were walking the dog we saw that someone cleaned out their attic and placed these vintage ornaments (still in the box) by the road with the trash. We picked them up and they worked perfectly on this tree. It was like Christmas to pick up something so cool! Continue reading “Decluttering Your Holiday Decorating Stash!”
I love placing something cool on our white tulip table, grabbing a ladder, and snapping a photo looking down upon it. Continue reading “Holiday Thoughts…”
The big snow of 2017 in Charleston, SC allowed us the opportunity to build this snowman. Of course I didn’t think about it until the snow was rapidly melting, so I was thrilled to get him put together and a photo taken. Continue reading “Make A Snowman Any Chance You Get!”

Several years ago we bought a Christmas tree, set it up, decorated it and it was beautiful. Then Charlie, our Jack Russell terrier, jumped off of our bed and landed wrong… Continue reading “Joy for only $2.99?”
