HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO YOU! I hope you have a wonderful day, full of things to be thankful for! These are trying times, I know many of us are staying home this Thanksgiving, missing family and friends. I am among them.
We have some spectacular sunrises and sunsets here in Charleston, South Carolina, especially in October and November. Skies filled with color that stretches as far as the eye can see – Exquisite! #dramatic
What a beautiful color combination! Mother Nature is one heck of an artist. This is the time of year that Sweet Grass is showing off its beautiful pink plumes and they are stunning!
Charleston, SC is a magical city whether it be on foot or any other mode of transportation. I prefer to walk because there are so many wonderful photographs to be taken. Everywhere you look something demands attention – and a photograph.
If 2020 were an image, it would look a bit like this…
Yes, 2020 looks a bit like this. So much information about the presidential election, lack of leadership, who said what about whoever, the riots (and I’m not talking about the peaceful protests), the hate, the negative non-stop attack ads that make the “slip and fall and we’ll make you rich” commercials seem like Hallmark. I know my head isn’t the only one that is swimming in a sea of disinformation.
I walk by this spot often, and it’s always beautiful – I especially love it at high tide for the great reflections in the water! So pretty and always changing. Does this post seem familiar to you?
An Imperfectly Perfect Live Oak Tree – Charleston, SC
We were out on a walk around the block – taking our dog for “his” (leisurely) walk – so he can sniff and visit. He’s in his glory. There is no forgetting to take him, there will be many not so subtle reminders.
A vacation. I felt like we could use a vacation – we NEEDED to get away even if it was just for a short time. The results of being gone for just a few hours in a natural place full of beauty, sun, and water were amazing…
Charleston, South Carolina. An exquisite place to visit and a beautiful place to live. So much to love. Architecture, food, marsh view, seafood, the list goes on.
Sweetest little creature ever. Charlie is an amazing and sweet beast Jack Russell Terrier – He is strong willed and continues to train us on a daily basis. #keeptryingcharlie 😉
I love it when you run into an unexpected photo. Something different that catches your eye at the last second and something tells you to snap a quick photo… Something about this makes me so happy! #perhapsiwasinlockdowntoolong #winkwink
Glorious! The arrival of fall like weather is nothing short of glorious to me. I am so excited for hot and humid weather to be on its way out! I am looking so forward to fresh air, cool breezes, open windows, flannel and polar fleece.
There, I said it. Ha… I am in my happy place when I can be *me* – born and raised in Michigan, here are a few of my fall memories…
I love creating treats for Charlie, our Jack Russel with a history of pancreatitis. For years he’s only gotten his ultra low fat prescription dog food, and occasional piece of pasta or tablespoon of rice, a little no fat Greek yogurt and veggies of all kinds.
Fred and I were hiking the trails on Monhegan several years ago. The island is one of the most beautiful places ever, with wondrous trails leading to cliffs and ocean. Ahh, the sites, the sounds (or lack thereof), and the freshest air ever!
So many of us are missing our vacations right now. #damncovid This photo is from a few years ago. We’ve all been in a holding pattern, some of us more than others, for quite some time now. I read something that made me smile.
If I would have known the last time I ate out was going to be my last time for so long I would have ordered dessert. #howtrueitis
