It’s not always easy to find a house plan that will fit seamlessly into an established neighborhood where the hope is to have the character flow and not stand out. Moser Design Group. Fabulous house plans. Classic design that looks gorgeous most anywhere it’s built. I live in an older neighborhood and what’s built around us matters. Infill, size, mass, scale – it makes a difference. It’s what keeps your neighborhood’s character that in this day and time is extremely hard to do. Depending upon the neighborhood, these homes look like they would blend well and fit in nicely. Good design always matters.

This porch! The Springhill Cottage is a sweet plan full of character. It’s the porch that I fell in love with upon first glance. I think Springhill has such curb appeal, from the cuts in the roof, to the windows and the door/entrance – and of course the porch, which gives you as much privacy as you need, depending upon your landscaping.

Many people are starting to downsize and build smaller homes. I read about the latest trend (and the trend to do away with excessive hallways to maximize space). I think a lot of people think they’re sacrificing so much by not having a large home. This plan shows that you can have your cake and eat it too! Small, yes. Livable, absolutely!

Stunning, right? We always stop for shrimp at Crosby’s Seafood right before you get to Folly Beach (Charleston, SC). We run in, pick up our shrimp, then I have to run out and get a photo or two. There is literally ALWAYS something breathtaking to look at.

A beautiful home isn’t it? We see many homes similar to this in Charleston, SC. Beautiful. With large porches to accommodate a variety of seating configurations so time on the porch is well spent and comfortable. Oh, so comfortable! Grab an iced tea and swing on the porch, read a book, take a nap – life is good! This is a great plan to fit in many established neighborhoods and blend in nicely.

Isn’t this house a beauty? I love the gorgeous front porch across the front and the to die for screened porches on the sides. How heavenly! When you want to converse with passers by, you can situate yourself on the front porch, when you want to tuck away and read a good book and can hunker down on the screened porch, free of bugs – or hey, if you just want to take a nap while listening to the birds chirp!

I love the lines of this house. It’s welcoming, it’s fresh and modern yet it would be difficult to tell if this is an immaculately kept older home or a new build.
