What a super cool plan. This home can be as net zero friendly as you like. GO Logic offers many options – you can select a plan, and then look through the many options for everything. The look changes significantly with each making each plan very versatile. They’ve got some gorgeous two story plans, but this one story caught my eye…

Drop dead gorgeous, right? Mingo Point (located on Kiawah Island, SC) is a popular event venue. Our nephew and his fiancé were married here back in June. It was a beautiful wedding. Over the top beautiful. Every moment there was something stunning, the sky, the clouds (and of course, the bride, groom and all in attendance!) – When I saw these clouds roll in around 9PM I had to get some photos!

Sweet, sweet, sweet! I absolutely adore this small house plan/guest suite – whichever use, it’s magnificent! I love the white, and also love the metal roof, so when it rains you have that lovely sound to listen to. The windows are gorgeous, everything about this is perfection! If you’re looking for a small house or a guest suite keep reading!

I think this could be the most fabulous pool house (or guest house, office, studio, the list goes on) in our backyard. What fun it would be to have an outbuilding with so many uses? A separate space for your guests to stay, yet be close at the same time. I think it could be so fun. I LOVE the screened porch, it would be facing our pool and screened in, so on nice evenings you could sit outside and spend the evening!

It was another steamy day in Charleston – but our late afternoon (evening) walk was still quite pretty. You can almost see the humidity in the air. This is an older street lined with large live oak trees and they’re stunning ALWAYS, but the bright pop of the crape myrtle blooms against the backdrop of oak trees certainly was beautiful! I love the light coming through the leaves. #wow I am oh so thankful for the way yesterday ended…

Charm, right? A beautiful old home, exquisitely built years ago set in a gorgeous established neighborhood, where the homes are all well built and solid. But wait, is it truly an older home? Or is it a newly built home that is so well designed that it just looks like it fits in perfectly among homes that are much older. #bingo This plan is gorgeous, and just wait until you see the interior!

We were at a downtown Charleston venue for our Godson’s wedding rehearsal – and as we were on our way to the car I snapped a few photos. It was a beautiful evening so there were good shots to be had. As it always is in Charleston, South Carolina.

These grand oak trees are everywhere in Charleston, South Carolina. They’re stunning, magnificent and oh, so striking! I’ve written about them many times. They have the Resurrection fern that grows on many of them. Look at the trunk above and see the crunchy brown looking fern attached to the tree, that’s a resurrection fern. If it rains it is stunning and bright green. Once the rain is gone and the tree gets dry it turns brown and crunchy again.

Well, tomorrow is the day! The first day of summer, June 20, 2021. Woohoo! A time of year so many of you are looking forward to. Out come the beach and pool supplies, quicker and lighter food to eat – ironically, even with the heat, more time spent outdoors. Summer is a good time to relax, grab a book and an iced tea and chill for a bit.

Wow, right? I love the house, the garage AND the covered breezeway leading to both the house and the upstairs guest suite from the house. A wonderful place to live or be a guest! I like this modern farmhouse plan a lot. You can see some of the real-life images – which really helps when trying to think about how you would live in a plan…

You just can’t beat classic design, can you? When these house plans turn into beautiful homes, the homes are there for generations. Looking as classy and elegant as they did on day one. That’s because good design lasts forever. Just look at the porches! They are divine, aren’t they? A nice size front porch and another on the back porch with the bonus of being screened. #loveit

This is the old Cigar Factory in Charleston, SC. Just look at the dark brick! It’s an impressive building that has stood the test of time! This stunning building was constructed in 1881 as a cotton manufacturing facility – it also survived the Earthquake of 1886 and in 1903 was leased to the American Cigar Company. At one point they made 1.5 million cigars each day!
