So many milestones this year… married 28 years – in our house 25 years – and another birthday (earlier in the month). Whew, does time ever fly! So thankful for each and every day! I’m sharing “our story”…
A gem. That’s what this plan is. It has the charm and character of an older home with the nuances of a brand new home full of every modern convenience your heart desires!
1 Beaufort Street gives you the perfect amount of openness while still maintaining some separation. While most plans that I feature now are open, some of us prefer to have a few individual rooms. This is such a great plan! I can’t wait to show it to you…
🌸 NOTE: Images will be returning to email notifications soon – WordPress is working on it!
Another stunning house plan by architect John Tee. This porch! Over 1,000 square feet of fine living before you even enter the front door, and what a stunning entrance! I especially love porches with no spindles – this is beautiful!
View from Bowens Island Restaurant, Charleston, SC
Oh! This view is a stunner every time we see it. Always changing but always spectacular. Bowens Island Restaurant is in a prime location in Charleston – the view from everywhere is breathtaking. It’s a little like being back in time and quite far from the hustle and bustle of everyday living – even though you aren’t far from it all.
Botany Bay, a wildlife preserve located a short distance from Charleston, SC – however short the drive (roughly 40 minutes) it feels like you have stepped back in time – and I mean that in the best way possible. Your head is filled with beauty and it fills your heart as well…
Can you imagine? Even though this is not a huge home it has a stately appeal about it. I swear, porches make a home. But, those gorgeous doors certainly make it stand out!
It comes as no surprise what a hit house plans are. Y’all love them! It’s always fun to imagine a new space, how it would work for you, what you like, what you wish could be a little different. The wonderful people at Lake & Land Studio will work with you to make your dream a reality. They are available to make changes to plans, which is so exciting. It doesn’t mean these plans NEED a change, it’s all about what you like and what is important to you. It’s always good to know that you have options!
Ahhh, a good book, is there anything like it? Especially during trying times like we’ve seen in 2020. Reading is the great escape, you can travel to faraway lands from the comfort of your chair with an iced tea in your hand. #winwin
Doesn’t this house have LOADS of charm? This is a small plan, but a GREAT one! I LOVE a screened porch, and this plan gives you options. There is a front porch, but there is also a side screened porch that you can enter from the bedroom. Think how nice this would be when the weather is fabulous and you can leave your door open to the porch for fresh air! #nothingbetter I love the lines of this house!
An Eclectic Mix of Antique, Mid Century Modern and Classic Styles
This blog is all about sharing the things I love with you. Namely ART (as well as artists and art events), FOOD (recipes, restaurants, products I’ve tried and love) and anything HOME related whether it be furniture, lighting, etc.
Sweetbay Cottage House Plan by Mitch Ginn & Associates
I think this home has a timeless appeal. It looks like it could have been built long ago. It has charm from days gone by but with all the modern conveniences!
Isn’t this house plan a beauty? It’s so striking – tall in stature and with such classy lines! Imagine if you had a nice view… the large window upstairs (the living area) would be a dream! I love it painted red – striking!
The Mathes House Plan (C0016) by Allison Ramsey Architects
Pretty fabulous, isn’t it? Do you know what I notice first thing about this plan? The screened porch. I love that it’s set back – which makes it so private!
