Rockport, Maine!

Rockport is a quintessential, 4th of July, all-American, town in Maine. It’s American as apple pie (at least to me, a visitor). Just look at this idyllic setting. What’s not to adore? Of course, this photo was taken (many years ago) during the nicest time of year (September). Not too many people, which is nice – and perfect weather (thankful).

This stunning house plan has remained one of the top house plans featured on artfoodhome.com as well as Southern Living for all these years, and the popularity is not slowing down, it might even be picking up! (Perhaps our quest to be outdoors makes this THE perfect house plan in this day and age!) It has so many wonderful features…

Green smoothies. Many are very (very) green tasting, some are very acidic, I just haven’t found one I love, until now… I took the green smoothie recipe from Vitamix and changed it a bit. It came out delightful (and packed with goodness)! With just a few ingredients and the flip of a switch, breakfast is served!

Anna Mason, she’s not only a very talented artist – she excels at sharing her knowledge. Her website is packed full of information. You’ll see she mentions why many people say they don’t paint – a lot of it is the set up/clean up, no dedicated space to do it in. Enter the watercolor medium. Easily done anywhere! #perfect!

Who doesn’t love the California coast? The views are stunning – so different from the east coast, equally beautiful, just a different kind of beauty. It’s amazing how our country has some major differences in scenery – how fortunate we are…

Who doesn’t love a good house plan? I mean seriously, there is so much thought that goes into a plan. For me, it’s the layout – what works best for each of us. We all have key elements that we love (or not) – and since we are all different, and our tastes are different, there are house plans for everyone. I feature plans that I personally like, and this is definitely one of them. The lines of this house are fabulous!

Pumpkin is a powerhouse food not only for adults but also for dogs. This “treat” is so easy to make, and perfect for summer (although our dog eats them all year long). You can make them fancy, plain or just however they end up. The health benefits are plentiful… and the taste – is LOVED! 🎃

Well, hello! Happy Saturday – hope you have wonderful plans (which can mean no plans, hehe) for the weekend. I love these colorful frogs – they always seem so happy jumping around. It seems like Fred is always saving frogs from the pool. Scoop them out and they jump right back in 🙄.

If you’re looking for a small house plan, or perhaps a guest cottage – the Cara May Cottage is so sweet! I highly encourage you to check it out. I adore the seating area for the dining space (and the color!) – brilliant! This is a sharp plan, love the exterior – the sweet front porch is larger than it looks. Organization is key, and they’ve done it perfectly.

Back when the weather was cold, we thought a pot roast, baked low and slow and filled with veggies – sounded divine. All the pot roasts were large (for 2 people). We don’t eat red meat often, so I devised a well thought out plan – this was an overwhelming success! Here’s my plan of action…
